South Dakota ruling forces doctors to lie to patients

“Thanks to an 8th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling this week with far-reaching implications, doctors performing abortions [in South Dakota] will now be legally mandated to mislead their patients.” By requiring that doctors talk about (the unsubstantiated) link between abortion and suicide, legislators are putting correlation ahead of causation. And, once again, women lose.
