Twitter, already long ago confirmed for filtering protest related words from trending, but now it’s outright stopping people from retweeting the content.

But you really think the government isn’t pushing this? Really? It isn’t as if world governments don’t do the same to Google.

but, i mean, from a strictly maggie-pays-a-lot-of-attention-in-government-class viewpoint, since twitter is a private site, there’s really nothing that can be done about it besides trying to either get them to stop or make them lose some credibility

i think that twitter’s a crappy way for people to go about their causes, even ones i support such as this, but that’s a different story.

And I understand that. If it was just Twitter, than there’s nothing to be done about it.

But I highly doubt that, frankly. And if the government did pressure Twitter to do this, then it is illegal.
